See below for details of dates and times.

If you are interested in attending one (or both!) of these courses, we would love to see you there. To book, go to the WEA website (look under "Internet" courses). These classes book out pretty quickly, so it is a good idea to book as soon as you can. The details of each course are below.

Course Outline: Start an Online Business

Description of Course

This course will identify the 7 essential steps to establishing and building a successful online business.  It is targeted at both people who have an existing business who wish to get that business operating successfully online and those who want to start a business online but who don’t have a product or service to sell.

The 7 key steps to building a successful online business are:

  1. Identifying a niche market (use an array of online tools and methods to identify some “hot” niche markets)
  2. Developing or finding a product (or service) quickly and at low cost.
  3. Registering a domain name and finding a host.
  4. Deciding what type of website is required and selecting the best method for achieving that.
  5. Adding a shopping cart and payment facilities to your site.
  6. Getting traffic to your site (ie search engine optimization, pay per click advertising and more).
  7. Converting visitors to customers (we won’t have time to cover much on this).

During the course, the tutor will go through each of these steps and explore various strategies and techniques for saving money and time, and for building a profitable online business. . At the end of the course students will have an understanding of the fundamental concepts and will know how to perform the bsic tasks and to commence the journey of running an online business.
