How To Set Up A POP3 Email Account On Your IPhone And Android

Here are the instructions on how to set up a POP3 email account on your iPhone:
1. If this is the first account you’re setting up on your iPhone, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen tap Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account
2. Choose your email account type. In your case, since you’re setting up email to work with your domain email tap Other.
3. Enter your name, Email Address, Email Password (your password), and the description.
4. Tap SAVE, POP or IMAP will be shown at the top. Select IMAP so it will be highlighted.
5. Fill in the IMAP Account Information: Name, Address (full email address “[email protected]“), and description.
Incoming Mail Server: Host Name:, Username:[email protected], Password: (your password)
6. If system is showing a message like Cannot verify server identity, tap Details and tap Accept.
7. After accepting, go back to Home then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Tap the email account you setup earlier and check POP and SMTP setting.
8. Tap SMTP > Tap
9. Check your SMTP SSL: off (you can enable this if your webmail comes with SSL), Authentication: Password, Server Port number: 587 (if you choose SSL, set this to 465). Tap DONE.
10. Go back to the email settings page, click Advanced to check your POP settings, SSL: off, Authentication: Password, Server Port: 110 (if you enabled SSL, set this to 995).
11. Tap Done/Verify, your iPhone is now configured to send and receive your domain email.


1. Tap the Email icon

2. Tap the left navigation button to bring up a menu that says Sync Options and Settings. Tap Settings.

3. Tap Add Account

4. Enter the following information

Email Address:

Password: (Your password)

5. Then select ‘Manual setup’ button

6. For “What type of account is this?” tap the POP3 button

7. Enter the following information

POP3 server:

Port: 110

Security Type: None / Off

8. Tap Next

9. For Outgoing server settings, enter the following information

SMTP server:

Port: 30

Security Type: None / Off

10. Make sure that ‘Require sign-in is checked’

11. Scroll down and enter the following information:


Password: (Your password)

12. Tap the Next button

13. Configure your sync frequencies and notification options.

14. Click Next

15. Type in the following information:

“Give this account a name (optional)”: Any value you wish

“Your name (Displayed on outgoing mesages)”: type in the name you prefer to be shown as the ‘From’ address on the emails you send

16. Tap Next. Setup will then complete.
