Moodle is a Learning Management System, which has been widely adopted educational and more recently, business sectors. Its appeal is its adherence to best practice teaching and learning methodologies, and its flexibility in providing both a stand-alone solution to online learning as well as providing a supplement to traditional teaching methods.
Its standard ‘out of the box’ functionalities are extensive and there are a wide range of module plug-ins which add customized requirements to the product. Moodle allows for presentation of materials in a variety of formats (flash, written, images, sounds) and a wide range of assessment formats and settings, and the ability to provide students with rich interactive experiences.
Because it is widely used in the educational sector, it is at the cutting edge of new learning models as well as providing traditional teaching functions. It has as many ways of delivering content as there are trainers.
Once a Moodle ‘instance’ is set up, teachers and course developers can create course materials directly into the system, and release it when it is ready.
Moodle is an Open Source software, which means that it can be downloaded and installed for free. It also means it has an extensive development network of people continually working to improve it, and then contributing additional functionalities and ideas this to the ‘common pool’.
While Moodle itself is free, it does require set up, design and functional customization. It works perfectly well as is, but most clients want to create a ‘look and feel’ which reflects their organization and brand.
Moodle also requires hosting, as it is accessed via the web.

1. Custom Design
We create a custom design to suit your corporate image. This will include adding your logo, custom site colours, layout, fonts images etc. We then "skin" your Moodle installation. This will make your Moodle site look unique, professional and will reflect your corporate design.

Moodle asks some basic questions of registrants - first name, last name and email. You may want to know their address, phone no, date of birth, occupation, employment status etc. We will customise the registration form with up to 10 additional questions - so that you get the information you need!

4. Adding Users (Admin, Teachers, Students etc), Setting Up Courses & Adding Content
Once we have installed Moodle, you will be able to administer the site and add your courses, students, teachers etc. Or, if you need some assistance, we can also set up and add Moodle courses for you.
